A gift from Corey for your project

Digital Flash cards available from any computer or mobile device browser are now available for Units 6 and 7. http://iflipr.com/deck/search?query=UNH+Ruwa
I suggest using the http://www.alkitaabtextbook.com/books/ website to hear the sound of the word if you are unsure.

New stuff:
Color coding is the same as the book. Green is Egyptian, Purple is Levantine, Blue is formal.
If you are only focusing on one dialect just click the green "Correct" mark for cards you dont care to learn and you wont be asked them again.

Ruwa suggested going over all of our vocab to get an idea of what language we have available to us for the final. This may be a good use of these decks.

Please notify me of any mistakes you find.

Respectfully,

Corey Nesk

A wonderful opportunity

The Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University is pleased
to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 Qatar
Scholarship Program.

The Qatar Scholarship Program offers dedicated Arabic language students from
the United States the opportunity to master their skills in an intensive
Arabic language program at Qatar University (QU) in Doha for an entire
academic year (September to June). The scholarship includes tuition, room
and board in university dorms, round-trip airfare, local transportation, and
books.

Interested students must have obtained a Bachelor's degree by the beginning
of the program, have two years of formal Arabic study, and be at the
intermediate level of proficiency in Arabic.

Please share this opportunity with anyone in your department who may be
interested. Attached to this email is a PDF formatted flyer for
distribution.
