Dear students:
Due to the many hard circumstances that I've been dealing with relating to my move, and the lack of sleep resulting from that, I feel unfit and unable to teach today. Please continue with studying the material on your own, as though we were in class. You would be doing me and yourselves a favor by doing so, because when we come back from عيد الشكر hopefully better rested, we can go about finishing our material full speed.

Monday calss and final presentations
اهلا يا شباب
Arabic 401:
Please come to class on Monday, having prepared to share your written composition (in fuSHa)with class. You're not required to memorize it, however, please familiarize yourselves with it, so that you're comfortable reading it in class.
Also, I wanted us to talk about the final presentation. This Monday's take-home quiz is meant to be a good practice for that. Your final presentation will be a better, more substantial form of this quiz. Let's talk some more about that in class tomorrow.
Arabic 503:
There will not be a class on Monday,November 22, due to the need to be at the inspection of my new home. I do hope for your forgiveness.
Please come to class on Tuesday, having memorized your new مفردات. We will also talk about your final presentation. It will be a composed piece, much like your Midterm paper, which will use a healthy and rich variety of concepts and vocabulary. This will show me the extent to which, you've both learned and reviewed, your material from this semester. You will of course be expected to read it in class, and so your oral presentation will count for 50% of your grade.
We'll have the chance to talk about that in class on Tuesday.

طلابي الاعزاءفي 503
Please come to class having viewed القصة as many times as it takes, to be able to answer the questions. To aid you in this process, please use تمرين21 which we did in class. Please rehearse, so that you feel at ease using your language skills in class tomorrow. Let's have fun.
Tullaabi fii 401 :
Please familiarize yourselves with your skits to the point of feeling comfortable talking, as though in a real invironment. Try to use as many of your vocabulary words from throughout the semester. We will spend a lot of time on vocab, both Egyptian and fuSHa, and skits in class tomorrow. I look forward to having fun with you.
