Oral Presentations

اعزائي الطلاب في 401:

Please use your textbook as a guide when you write your presentation. Follow all the grammatical rules you've learned thus far, and make sure that your spelling is correct. Don't forget to use short vowels, and other markers when necessary. Practice a lot with peers and in front of a mirror :)In your at least one paragraph piece, you will tell me and the class about yourself. That can include your family, your friends, your neighbor, things you do and they do, your house, your town.....Though you're not required to memorize it, please feel free to do so. It will help your grade.

Please check the previous blog for instructions on how to prepare for class on Tuesday.

اعزائي الطلاب في 503:

Please use your textbook as a guide when you write your presentation, as if this were a take-home exam. You need to use good and correctly spelled vocabulary. Make sure you follow the grammatical rules, and use a good variety of those rules to produce a well written piece. It should be no less than a page long. Though you are not required to memorize it, you are encouraged to, and that will help your grade. You may bring cue cards if you wish. Please make me a separate copy to read along. The theme is an "experience". It could be something that happened to you, or someone else, or even something you anticipate happening.

Please visit the previous blog for instructions on how to prepare for class on Tuesday.

What you can do for class onTuesday

أهلا يا طلاب في صف 401

Please come to class having memorized your alphabet chart, your number chart and your الحروف الشمسية -الحروف القمرية chart.

اهلا يا طلاب في صف 503

For those of you that are retaking the exam, please find below the instructions that were given in class:

-For the first section:
Take each sentence and translate it. Then go back and change the pronoun, going down the list to do ALL pronouns, and conjugate the verb accordingly. For the second sentence for example, you do "their" first, then change that to "his, her...". You will end up with 8 sentences for each sentence of this section.

-for the second section:
More of the same.1- Samira is the pronoun "she" Start with that and do sections A, B, C. Then go down that list, replacing "she" with ALL the other subjective pronouns, conjugating the verbs accordingly. 2- For I have a car, after you do this section, go down the list replacing the possessive pronouns, one by one, in each of the A,B, C sections.

-For the next section, "Translate", translate it first just the way it is. Go back and replace the "you, male" pronoun with All the other subjective pronouns, conjugating the verbs accordingly. Also, replace the number "5" by other numbers from 1-10, and the number "11" by any number from 11-100, and pay attention to how the word "book" changes.

If you accomplish all this, and do it CORRECTLY, you will receive a passing grade in the range of "D".

No need to do the last section, but I advice you to learn these numbers.

If you have any questions, you know how to contact me.

Best of luck.
